Obituary for Gertrude Rose Barrett Gertrude Rose Barrett, age 97, of West Haven passed away on November 9, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Katharine Fritz Barrett. Gertrude is survived by her sister Eleanor Barrett and her nieces and nephew.

Gertrude was predeceased by her son Kerry Barrett and her brothers Arthur Barrett and Gordon Barrett (Ret. WHFD). Prior to her retirement, she worked for CT Transit as a bookkeeper.

She was a lifelong resident of West Haven and she also leaves many friends and the caring staff of Seacrest Retirement Center A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 10am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her name to VITAS Healthcare 199 Park Rd.
