Giles “Bing” Alvin Knepper February 21, 1934 – February 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Giles “Bing” Alvin Knepper, 84 years of age, and longtime resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Lake Pointe Health Center following a lengthy illness. Bing was born February 21, 1934, in Elyria and graduated from Elyria High School. He lived for the past 60 years in Amherst.

He retired from Nordson Corporation where he worked for over 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Amherst VFW and the Eagles. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include his children Daniel A. Knepper of Jackson Center, OH; Beth Ann (John) Ruggles of Springboro, OH; Amy (Skip) Gentry of Henrietta, OH; three grandchildren Dominic (Lynsey) Knepper, Jordan Knepper, Brooke Robey, and his sister Patricia Schwartz of Elyria. Bing was preceded in death by his sons John Thomas Knepper in 1960 and Adam Knepper in 1977; his siblings Don Gorr, Dwight Knepper, Durward Knepper, Helen Post; and his parents Durward and Marjorie Knepper (nee:Squires). Services will be held privately by the family.
