Obituary for Gland Alfred Sr Mr. Glen Earl (Bone) Alfred, Sr. was born October 30, 1950 in Marion County, MS to the late Ollie James Alfred, Sr. and Daisy Bell Alfred. In a turn of life’s journey on Sunday, June 16, 2018 he joins Ollie James, Jr. (brother) and Thelma “Foot” Bridges (sister) in their heavenly home. Glen Earl Alfred graduated from Marion Central High School in May 1968.

After completing high school, he continued his education and become a graduate of Jackson State University. Later in life he became employed with the Port of American Riverfront foreman and longshoreman for 42 years. Glen Earl Alfred Sr. joined Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he was a member of Little Rock Mason #592, and also attended Franklin Ave.

Baptist Church in New Orleans, La. He was united in holy matrimony to Dionne N. Alfred for 43 years. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving and devoted wife, Dionne; three daughters, Raelynn D. Alfred of New Orleans, LA, Lisa Allen of Atlanta, GA, and Carolyn Pryer of Jackson, MS; son, Glen Earl (Kim) Alfred, Jr. and Travis (Trenise) Alfred of New Orleans, LA; sister, Zelma Fennell of Santa Cruz.

, Zelda (Rattif) Magee of Foxworth, MS, Michele (Henry) Fortenberry of August, GA, Shelia Alfred (Jarvis) Jacobs of New Orleans, LA; sister-in-law, Olympia (John) Head of Canton, MS, Debra (Bryon) Boyd, Ms. Adrien Patton, Daniels, and Sharon Neely of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Fred (Lisa) Alfred of New Orleans, LA and Jeffrey (Theresa) Alfred of Longbeach, MS; brother-in law, Clifton( Paula) Neely, Andrew Neely, and the late Alvarez Neely Sr., and the late Glen Daniels; devoted aunts, Martha Reen Richards, Maxine Foxworth, of Ferrell, Penn. and Ruth Foxworth of Foxworth, MS and devoted lifetime friends, (like Brothers) Chester Johnson of Memphis, Tenn and Delarries Husband of Little Rock, MS. He is also survived by 7 loving grandchildren, Shemar, Malik, Avery, Kayla, Lanelle, Tori, and Darriell, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are to attend a Visitation at D.W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave. on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1038 Hwy 586 in Foxworth, MS on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment: Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Foxworth, MS. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave.
