Obituary for Russell Stewart Foster Russell Stewart Foster, the son and fifth child of ten, was born to the late Robert James Foster and Corinne Brock Foster on September 20, 1959. Russell grew up in New Orleans (lower ninth ward, CTC), where he enjoyed spending time with his family. Russell leaves to cherish his memory his soul mate: Sandra Jackson, his siblings Yvonne Foster-Washington (the late Louis Washington), Penny P. Foster, Michelle P. Mohammad (Abdullah), Elyania Foster-Jackson (Burma), Jeffery A. Foster, Nicole Foster-Espadron (Lavell), siblings who preceded him in death, Joan Foster-Johnson (Donald), Robert J. Foster Jr., Randy S. Foster (Priscilla) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Russell was a discreet and loving person who loved to spend time back and forth from Chicago and New Orleans. Russell was a very humble person who always saw the good in everyone or everything. Russell never raised his voice or argued with anyone but you knew when he meant business with one look in his eye.

Russell lived every moment of each day happy and on his own terms. Russell relocated to Portland Oregon after “Hurricane Katrina”. One day while traveling to the mall he asked his sister to pull over because he saw a beautiful lady at the bus stop.

There he met Sandra Jackson his soul mate. Russell decided to remain in Portland with Sandra and he did until he took his last breath on earth. Russell loved Sandra unconditionally and she loved him back the same.

Russell was a happy and free spirited man because a free spirt is just an old soul with all its karma paid. Russell needed to prove nothing to anyone he just lived his life on his terms. A Memorial Service will be held at D.W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave.
