Obituary for Carrie Robinson Alexander Carrie Robinson Alexander was born in Magnolia, Mississippi on September 28, 1950 and was raised by Bennie Robinson Sr. and Susie Robinson. Carrie Robinson Alexander was educated at Eva Gordon Attendance Center in Magnolia, Mississippi and graduated in 1969. She also graduated from Delgado Community College receiving an Associate’s degree in Business Administration.
Carrie Robinson Alexander accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Rose Hill Baptist Church by the late Rev. Hezekiah Swanigan. She joined First African Baptist church on May 6, 2006 under the leadership of Rev.
E. Darnell Jones and Rev. William Brent where she loved to serve at repasts and other events. She later joined Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist church under Rev.
Dr. Kenneth E. Thompson. She married Larry Alexander on August 6, 1983. Carrie Robinson Alexander was employed at Capitol One Bank with 25 years of service and was loved by her customers.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bennie and Susie Robinson; her brother Abe Neal Robinson, aunt Bertha Robinson Dawson and cousin Charles Robinson. She leaves to cherish her valuable memories, her husband, Larry Alexander of 35 years, mother Aletha Bryant of Omaha, Nebraska, sisters, Martha Robinson Leon, Bettie Bryant King and Magnolia Bryant Holland of Omaha, Nebraska and one brother Clarence Bryant of Omaha, Nebraska, uncles Oscar Robinson (Della) and George Allen (Lisa), devoted niece Cheryl Robinson, nephews Jerome Robinson (Naquiva), Dr. Myron Spencer (Phyllis), Mister Harshman and Antonio Bryant, nieces/godchildren, Myrica Moore (Warren), Myra Green (Bernell), Brandy Stanton, Alicia Holloway, brothers-in-law, Vernon Alexander (Catherine), Earl Alexander (Linda), sisters-in-law, Janet Wicker (Horace), June Barton (Barry) and Marilyn Anderson. She also leaves to cherish her memories, god child Sebrina Cates, devoted cousin Deborah Johnson, special friends Mary L. Caire and Dr. Cheryl Leblance and a host of relatives and friends.
Carries’ favorite hymn was we’ve come this far by faith and her favorite scripture was the 23 Psalm. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers and members of Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:00am on Saturday September 8, 2018 at Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church 3317 Toledano Street. The visitation will be from 9:00am until 10:00am.
