Obituary for Derrick Anthony Johnson Derrick Anthony “Woo” Johnson, was born on April 24, 2007. He departed this life on October 20, 2018 at the age of 11. Derrick was a 5th grade student at Schaumburg Elementary School.

Fond and joyful memories of Derrick as a beautiful free spirit will live on through his grandparents Carolyn Fitts, Harlan Jones, Anthony Hennessee and Paulie Karol Sanders; his mother, Dana D. Hennessee; his father Derrick D. Johnson; his brother Hahkeem Hennessee; his sisters, Mikeia Crawford, Tyler Johnson, Skye Johnson, Gia Johnson, Gianne Johnson; his aunts Sheree Fitts and Aisha Swatts; his great uncle Anthony Hubbard Fitts; his uncles Myron Johnson; his nieces Lyric, Antonia, Skye, Melody; his nephews Rahkeem, TiyKeem, and Gregory Jr; his godmothers Nedra Price and Sally “Gigi” Jones; his best friend Xavier Sheldon Jr. and a number of cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, James Earl “Jaime” Sanders; his uncles Anthony Hennessee Jr. and Jeffrey Sanders. .

Relatives and family friends as well as his fellow classmates and faculty of Schaumburg Elementary School are invited to attend his funeral service at 1:00 PM on October 27, 2018 at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70125. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM. Interment: Private.
