Obituary for Eva M Harris Eva Mae Harris was born on October 17, 1940 and departed this life on August 24, 2018. She was born In Donaldsonville, LA. And resided in New Orleans, LA.

She worked as a Nursing Assistant at Jefferson Healthcare. She attended New Life Ministries for many years. She was the daughter of the late John Canty and Christina Hamilton Canty.

She was the loving wife of the late Miller Harris. She is also preceded in death by five sisters; Alice Allen, Ethel Powell, Helen Gloria Moten, Claudette Miller and Claudia Simmons and two brothers Melvin Canty and John Canty, Jr She is the loving mother of Rene A. Canty, Kevin Harris, Dwayne J. Harris, Byron Harris and Leslie A. Harris.

Mrs. Harris is also survived by one sister Victoria Johnson (Felton, Sr.), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the Family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 8, 2018 at Rhodes Funeral Home 3933 Washington Avenue. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
