Obituary for Yolanda Hunter Washington Yolanda Hunter Washington was born November 6, 1961 in New Orleans, Louisiana where she was raised. Yolanda entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2018 at the age of 56, thre only daughter of the late Arthur L. Hunter, Sr. and the late Gussie Davis Hunter. A 1979 graduate of Abramson High School and a proud alumni of Dillard University, New Orleans achieving a BSN in Nursing in 1983.

Yolanda was baptized as a youth at the New Birth MBC in New Orleans, LA. She was a dedicated servant of God. She will be cherished by her brothers the Honorable Judge Arthur L. Hunter Jr., and Minister Don Hunter; Her husband Anthony J. Washington, her children: Christine Rene Matthews, Lindsey Marie and Jason Wesley; her son-in-law Darrain Matthews and grand-children Kalynn Elise and Carter Josiah.

Her beautiful spirit and smile touched many as she encountered them. Her special love was telling people about Jesus, and she grew to be a bold soul-winner! She will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 3320 Louisa St. New Orleans, LA 70126. Visitation is at 9:00 am followed by the celebration of her life at 10:00 am. Interment: Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. Repast will follow at the church. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave.
