Weidler, 80, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on December 30, 2018 in the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. He was born April 6, 1938 in Lancaster, son of the late Robert S. and Crystabel (Harnish) Weidler. Glenn was a 1956 graduate of Hershey High School and had been a farmer for most of his life.

He had been a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Campbelltown. He had a love of the outdoors and spent much of his spare time hunting and fishing. Another great enjoyment was football.

He loved Penn State and was a former semi-pro player for the Harrisburg Capitols and the Cumberland Colts. Glenn is survived by his Hershey High School sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Janice G. (Geesaman) Weidler of Elizabethtown; sons, Scott Weidler and Glenn (Michelle) Weidler, both of Palmyra; daughters, Tracy (Louis) Paioletti of Hershey and Beverly Weidler of Palmyra; brother, Robert B. (Milesta) Weidler of Palmyra; sister, Debra Weidler of Palmyra; grandchildren, Michaella, Abbey, Jennifer, Melissa, Deven, Vincent, Cassie, Victoria and Jared; 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Marcia Weidler.

It was at Glenn’s request that a private memorial service be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Salem U.C.C., 2761 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown, PA 17010.
