Lois Jean Seaman February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Lois Jean (Etter) Seaman, 78, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2019 in the Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 17, 1940 in Hershey, daughter of the late Paul and Eva (Bell) Etter. Lois was a 1958 graduate of Hershey High School and 1961 graduate of Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a Registered Nurse at The Penn State Hershey Medical Center for 26 years until retiring. She was a member of the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, Harrisburg Hospital Nursing Alumni Assn and Historical Society of East Hanover Township Dauphin County. She enjoyed traveling and taking pictures of her adventures as well as spending time with family and friends including her Book and Card Clubs.

Lois is survived by her two sons, William Jr., (Lori) of Chesapeake, VA and Jeffrey Seaman of New York City; her daughter, Lauren Seaman (Sean) Gearhart of Palmyra; her grandchildren, Patrick and Kerri Seaman, Devin and Molly Gearhart; her siblings, Beverly Forry and Robert Etter; Elvira Vergara Sequeiro and her family in Spain; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11AM in the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, 45 N. Chestnut St., Palmyra. The family will begin receiving guests at 10AM.

Private interment will be in the Hanoverdale Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to either: East Hanover Autumn Leaves, 8848 Jonestown Rd, Grantville, PA 17028 or the Historical Society of East Hanover – Dauphin County, PO Box 185, Grantville, PA 17028. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., of Hershey, is handling the arrangements.
