Gloria Shive, 90, formerly of Macungie, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Country Meadows, Bethlehem Township. Born March 11, 1928, in Emmaus, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Agnes (DeEsch) Ferry. Her husband of 40 years, Francis Shive, passed away in 1999.

She had been a waitress at the former Benetz Inn, Quakertown. Gloria enjoyed sewing and was an Elvis fan. She was a member of The Shepherd’s Chapel Church.

Surviving are a son, Scott Shive, of Ocoee, FL; a daughter, Bonnie Keller and her husband Kerry, of Dallas, PA; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Reynolds, of High Point, NC; two sisters, Betsy Kistler, of Slatington and Janice Seibert, of Allentown; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Pat Heiss, Larue Danner, Bobbie Sames and Sissy Hughes and a brother, Tom Ferry. Graveside services will be held at 1pm Friday in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown.
