Patti, of Forks Township, PA, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 in Easton Hospital. Joyce was born in Wilson Borough on October 31, 1930; a daughter of the late James P. and Bertha C. (Schwar) Sweeney. Joyce was the devoted wife to Nicholas Patti for 63 years.

She was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1948. Joyce was a Librarian for St. Anthony’s Easton Catholic School. She also held several other positions such as a bookkeeper and secretary for Alpha Portland Cement, formerly in Easton, and was the Elected Tax Collector for Wilson Borough for two 4-year terms until retiring in 1997.

She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Joyce was very athletic in high school and enjoyed swimming, bowling, and softball. She was an avid fan of her beloved Phillies.

Joyce enjoyed playing pinochle with the Chrin card group, but most of all she loved spending time with her family whom she adored. In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by a son Andrew A. Patti and his wife Nancy of Florida, daughters Stephanie M. Tomaino and her husband Gary of Easton, Nancy Jo Johnson and her husband Jay, of Lancaster; a sister Patricia Ann Riddle of Palmer Twp. ; brother James Sweeney of Easton; and five grandchildren Douglas Patti, Corinne Patti, Christina Tomaino, Casie Johnson, and Kelly Johnson.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother John Patti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9 & Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.
