Marad, 92, of Windham, New Hampshire, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Windham Terrace. She was born September 12, 1926 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Farris and Madeline (Elbeery) Marad. Grace graduated from Lawrence High School and received her Bachelor’s and Masters in Nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

She was a member of many professional nursing associations and worked as a psychiatric nurse at Danvers State Hospital and other mental health facilities. Devoted to nursing and her appreciation of veterans, she worked at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire up until her retirement. An avid gardener, Grace was a dedicated member of the Windham Garden Club.

Grace was proud of her Lebanese heritage and loved travelling and photography. In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her sister Marion and her brothers Henry and George. She is survived by her sister, Barbara, of Virginia, and several nieces and nephews: Richard Taylor of Georgia, Henry Taylor of Massachusetts, Elizabeth Marad of New Hampshire, Madeline (Marad) Berni of New Hampshire, Paul Taylor of West Virginia, Robert Taylor of Virginia, Paul Marad of Massachusetts, Marion Taylor of Virginia, and Grace Ellen Taylor of Virginia.

She was an adoring aunt to her several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 9-10:30 at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Route 111, Windham, New Hampshire. A funeral mass will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, Windham, New Hampshire.

Burial will be in the spring at the United Lebanese Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windham Garden Club Scholarship Fund, P.O.
