(Conroy) Ramos, 85 of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Home, Manchester, NH. Born in New York City, New York on December 23, 1933, Patricia was the only child of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Downey) Conroy. Patricia grew up in the Bronx, NY, raised her family in Suffern, NY, and was a resident of Bedford, NH for 17 years before moving to Villa Crest in Manchester where she received the best of care from an amazing staff.

Patricia married the love of her life in April 1955 and after raising her three children, went back to school at Rockland Community College School of Nursing in Suffern, NY where she received her LPN and worked at Nyack Hospital on the Oncology floor. Patricia always said, “once a nurse, always a nurse” and keeping true to that idea, Pat always offered encouragement and little pearls of advice to the young LNA’s who helped her during the last years of her life. Patricia’s passion was her family.

She was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband of 62 years, Edward J. Ramos. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Diane Carpenter and her husband Alan of Windham, NH, son Edward Ramos of Atlanta, GA, daughter Laura Ramos of Concord, NH, two grandchildren, Christine Carpenter and William Carpenter, and her only surviving cousin, Ronald Ferraro. Services will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 11:00 AM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH with internment at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
