Grace Juanita Minnix January 02, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Grace Juanita Minnix, 95, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hershey, passed away on January 2, 2019 in the Colonial Park Care Center. She was born August 13, 1923 in Roanoke, VA, daughter of the late James H. and Florence (Clinebell) Morris. Grace was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Hummelstown.

She was a homemaker and a part time assistant secretary at the church. She enjoyed bowling in both the Hershey and Hummelstown bowling leagues as well as embroidery. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Grace is survived by; sons, Michael V. (Wendy) Minnix of Carlisle and Douglas R. (Rhonda) Minnix of McCoy, VA; daughter, Shirlynn M. (Rick) Mottilla of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Barnett, James Minnix, Justin Mottilla, Kelly (Brett) Evans, Jessica (Joseph) Bryan, Cory Minnix and Cody Minnix; five great grandchildren, Wyatt and Lilly Barnett, Jackson Evans, Colby Minnix and Kenneth Bryan; and a brother, Fred Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Vernon R. Minnix; brothers, Clyde and Tillman Morris; and sister, Helen Morris. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11AM in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 West Main St. in Hummelstown.

The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30AM. Private interment will be in the Grand View Memorial Park in Annville. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church 210 West Main St. Hummelstown, PA 17036.

The family would like to thank Grane Hospice, Columbia Cottage of Hershey and the Colonial Park Care Center for their care and compassion. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., of Hershey, is handling the arrangements.
