Gwendolyn Marquez November 18, 1947 – March 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gwendolyn Marquez, 71, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at her home in Green River, Wyoming. She was a resident of Green River for 38 years and is a former resident of Bishop, California. Mrs. Marquez was born on November 18, 1947 in Bishop, California; the daughter of Connie M. Denver and Rosalind M. Butcher.

She attended schools in Bishop, California and was a 1966 graduate of the Bishop Union High School. Mrs. Marquez also attended cosmetology school at Lapin Brothers School of Cosmetology. She married Carlos Marquez on September 24, 1968 in Bishop, California.

Mrs. Marquez was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. In her younger days she was a very good fast pitch softball pitcher. She loved hunting and fishing, and she was an excellent shot with a rifle and pistol.

Mrs. Marquez also made some beautiful Native American bead pieces. Survivors include her husband Carlos Marquez of Green River, Wyoming, one son; Gabriel Marquez of Green River, Wyoming, as well as several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
