Harold E. Ervin, 86, of Drums, passed away, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton following a sudden illness. Born in Black Oak, AR, July 24, 1932, he was the son of the late Charles and Elzie (Mangrum) Ervin and spent the past 59 years in Drums, after moving from Illinois. Harold was a General Foreman for All-Steel, Valmont Industrial Park.

He retired in 1993 after over 35 years of service with the company. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Conyngham United Methodist Church, Conyngham.

He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and spending time with his grandsons. Surviving are his wife the former Madge Jines, to whom he was married on August 31, 1957 in Hernando, MS; two daughters Patti Ancharski and her husband James, Drums; and Portia Tranguch, and her husband Raymond, Cranberry Township; three grandsons Eli, Caleb, and Noah Ancharski; a brother Jim Ervin and his wife Doris, Aurora, IL; a half-sister Viva Girder, Mesquite, TX; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 with a Memorial Service at 11 am in Conyngham United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Conyngham.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the church, Saturday morning from 10 am untill the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to Conyngham United Methodist Church, PO Box AB, Conyngham, PA 18219.
