Andrew E. “Chief” Nevedal Jr., 72, of West Hazleton, passed away Wednesday evening February 6, 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hazleton, December 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Kulaga) Nevedal, Sr. and had spent the past 30 years in West Hazleton after moving from Hazle Twp. Andrew graduated from Hazle Twp.

High School class of 1964. He was employed as a Machine Operator for the Polyex Department at Bemis in Valmont. He was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam War.

Andrew enjoyed hunting and archery, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and his family. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Ed Nevedal. Surviving are his loving wife, Beverlee (Hutton) Nevedal to whom he was married on March 1, 1996 in West Hazleton; three sons Keith Frederick and his wife Melissa; Hazle Twp.

; Duane Frederick and his wife Erin, Sugarloaf; and Edward Keck and his wife Misty, Sugarloaf; five grandchildren Kaleigh, Brady, Gavin, Tyler, and Dylan; a brother Eugene Nevedal and his wife Nancy, Hazle Twp. ; one nephew, several nieces and his companion animal Bud. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
