Rudolf Khodzhayev September 09, 1939 – February 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Rudolf Khodzhayev, 79, of Hazleton, passed away Monday at the home of his daughter Anna, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Baku, Azerbijan on September 9, 1939 he was the son of the late Sergey and Anna (Gushina) Khodzhayev. Prior to coming to America, he was an accomplished engineer in Baku.

Rudolf was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He valued spending time with his family and especially his granddaughters. Rudolf was an avid reader, who loved cooking and gardening.

He had a passion for playing the piano and enjoyed teaching his granddaughters how to play. He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brother Alexader Khodzhayev. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, the former Armida Bagdagulyan; daughter Anna Khodzhayev and her husband John of Drums, PA; Son Sergey Khodzhayev and his wife Marina of Moscow, Russia and granddaughters Angelina, Emma and Mikaela.

Rudolf’s funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Butler Chapel of Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home, Inc., 530 West Butler Drive in Drums. Interment will follow in the Drums Community Cemetery. Friend may call at the Butler Chapel on Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
