Harry Alan “Budgie” Burdock, 75, of Frostburg, MD, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his residence. Born December 28, 1943, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Harry R. “Big Budgie” and Martha Jane (Geary) Burdock. He was also preceded in death by one son, Toby Alan Burdock; two brothers, James and Roger Burdock.

Mr. Burdock was an operator and laborer for Kelly Springfield Tire Manufacture and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school.

After retirement, he worked for the Garrett Co. Waste Management Services. “Budgie” was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. His grandchildren were his greatest treasure.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Connie Bernice (Wilhelm) Burdock; two sons, Todd A. (Tammy) Burdock and Harry T. Burdock and two daughters, Tanya R. (Brian) Ritchey and Tara B. (Andrew) White, all of Frostburg; one brother, Gerald (Hazel) Burdock, Lonaconing, MD; two sisters, Eileen (Fred) Jenkins, Frostburg; JoAnn Burdock, Mechanicsburg, PA; two sisters-in-law, Martha Burdock, Frostburg; Betty Burdock, Finzel, MD; eight grandchildren, Courtney (Patrick) Sines, Bailey Burdock, Cross Ritchey, Chance Ritchey, Ada White, Raegan Burdock, Rain Ritchey and Nora White. Friends will be received at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the church on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.

Daniel Agnew officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Blocher Cemetery.

Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
