Obituary for Harvie Eugene Cleary Harvie Eugene Cleary, age 87, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his residence in the Elbow Community in Monroe County. He was born on August 30, 1930 in Monroe County, Kentucky to the late Johnnie Cleary and Rissie Cloyd Cleary. He was united in marriage with Beatris Elizabeth Monday Cleary, who survives him, on March 10, 1951 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.

He moved to Indiana in 1952 and was employed as a construction worker for Jackson Concrete in Indiana. They then returned to Monroe County in 1998. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters: Sandra Kay Schwartz and husband Dan and Diana Lynn Fisbeck and husband John both of Indianapolis, three sons: Lonnie Eugene Cleary and wife Connie of Tompkinsville, Randy Joe Cleary and wife Roz of Anderson, IN, and Gene Allen Cleary and wife Carol of Tompkinsville, one sister: Margie Allen Dean of Greenwood, IN, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister: Ina Betty Geralds, four brothers: Waldo Clifton Cleary, Arlie Cleary, Marvin Cleary, and Hermon Cleary. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1:00PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with Joe Botts officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Basil Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will held on Friday, June 22 from 5:00 PM until 8 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Visitation with the family will continue on Saturday, June 23 from 7:30 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
