Maurice Devon Hayes, age 37, of Harrodsburg son of Van Allen of Lexington and Juanita Andrews Hayes of Harrodsburg died as a result of an automobile accident on Monday, January 14, 2019 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born August 2, 1981 in Danville, KY, he attended Harrodsburg High School, obtained his GED and had recently graduated from Campbellsville University Harrodsburg Campus with a degree in welding. Maurice was an avid video game player and enjoyed playing basketball.

Survivors other than his parents include: two sons Vandale Hayes and Deozjaih Hayes both of Burgin; three sisters Clarissa Hayes of Harrodsburg, Shamia Tarrence and Shaniqua Tarrence both of Lexington; three brothers LaMar Stigall, Anthony Stigall and Morio Berry all of Danville and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Sims Funeral Services by Elder J.D. Short III with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: LaMar Stigall, Anthony Stigall, Larry Andrews, Josh Goodman, Terrance Masterson, Mark Stigall, Tim Bess, Kevin Jackson, Kwame Jackson, and Jamalachi Taylor.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist in funeral expenses. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
