Hazel Krause Clatterbuck Stansbury, 95, of Westminster, formerly of Catonsville passed away, surrounded by loved ones, in her home at Carroll Lutheran Village on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Born November 6, 1923 in Pikesville she was the daughter of the late John Robert & Annie Dora Kersten Krause. Twice married she was preceded in death by her husbands, William B. Clatterbuck in 1994 and Richard C. Stansbury in 2014.

After completion of school Hazel worked for Hecht Company in Baltimore and retired from Holober Slip Cover Company. She was a member of Stone Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting, playing cards and billiards.

She is survived by her sister Martha Sulcer of Charlestown Retirement Center, Catonsville; godchildren whom she fondly called “her girls”, Judy Taylor and her husband Allan of Westminster and Linda Sellers of Raleigh, NC; her loving “grandchildren” Ty Sellers and Kristen Sellers; numerous cousins; and the extended Ritter family. Along with her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by siblings Catherine, Ruth & Jim Krause. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Carroll Lutheran Village, Krug Chapel, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Hazel’s name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave. , Westminster MD 21157.
