Hazel M. Proctor August 02, 1924 – March 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Hazel Marsh Proctor, 94, a resident of Cambridge Corry, died there on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was born in Corry, Pa. on August 2, 1924, a daughter of the late Floyd and Flora Cummings Marsh.

Mrs. Proctor was raised and educated in Corry, graduating from Corry Area High School in 1942. She then worked at Aero Supply, Corry Jamestown Corporation and Community Loan Company. Following her marriage to Garald Proctor on October 31, 1946 in Union City, Pa.

the couple moved to Erie, Pa. They then returned to Beaverdam where they built their home. Over the years, Hazel worked at Elgin Electronics Lab, Marsh’s Plaza and Corry Jamestown Corporation.

In 1971, she and her husband moved to Jensen Beach, FL. where she went to work for twenty two years for the State of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services as a Secretary Specialist for the Aging and Adult Services. She retired from there in 1994.

Hazel was a former member of the Friends of Morningside Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. She also volunteered at Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart, FL. She liked crocheting and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Garald Proctor on December 26, 1994, also by a son, Jeffery Proctor; and a brother, Roger Marsh. Hazel is survived by two sons, James Proctor and his wife Sharon of Beaverdam, Pa. and Jerry Proctor and his wife Sharon of Palm City, FL.

and a sister Charlotte Young of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Melissa, Chad, Brian, Erica, Andrea Amanda, Trish, Christopher and Travis and by nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa.

on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Don MacMartin will officiate. Burial will be made in Lawn Cemetery, Beaverdam, Pa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Elgin- Beaverdam Vol.
