Obituary for Helen Marie Kastein Helen Marie Kastein, 69, of Fond du Lac, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1949, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Leslie C. and Hazel E. Dahl Bell. While growing up, her mom and dad owned Bells Restaurant, where Helen worked.

She continued working in food service after Bells closed. Helen also worked for Dr. William Schuster, as dermatology assistant. She enjoyed spending her time at the lake.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Charles) Beaman of Appleton, her son, Nate (Kim) Kastein of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren: Aaron, Aleah, Simone, Eli and Ezra; her sister, Kay (Joe) Woehrer of Oshkosh, nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Gary Kastein of Fond du Lac. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Lee, Bruce and Jerry. Per Helen’s request there will be no visitation or service.
