Helen S. Harmon, 93, of Sykesville, passed away November 21, 2018, at the Dove House, Carroll Hospice. Born on October 14, 1925 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Knight and Jessie Barker Knight. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Harmon who passed away in 1972.

Before retiring, Helen worked at Westinghouse as a solderer. She loved shopping, swimming in the pool, trips to Ocean City, country music, watching the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles play, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. She is survived by 5 children, Gail Caton of Catonsville, Paula Helvig (Robert) of Catonsville, Joann Shaw (Ian) of Sykesville, Robert A. Harmon of Woodbine, Anita Slaugenhoup of Pittsburgh, Pa.

, 7 grandchildren Justin, Brandi, Jessica, Amber, Erin, Katie, David, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her sister Wardna Russell, brother Charles Knight, granddaughter Stephanie Turner, and her loving dog companion Maggie. Services will be announced at a later date.
