Hilda L. Parfitt Schuster, 80, a longtime resident of Alverton, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, November 16, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded in the love of family. She was born May 27, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Roy R. and Anna Stewart Parfitt.

Hilda was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale as well as a NEW member of St. Pius X and Visitation Churches of Mt. Pleasant. She was a Graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1957.

Hilda then attended Social Dimensions; Training and Education, to become a Nursing Assistant. She also attended The National Institute for the Certification of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel. She was employed as a Central Supply Service Technician with 13 years of Service at Highlands Hospital.

Prior to her employment at Highlands Hospital, she was employed by the Former Burns Drug Store of Scottdale and Williams House, Mt. Pleasant. Hilda was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister and loved being a Grandmother to her Grandchildren.

She was also an avid Pittsburgh Penguins Fan and a friend to all who knew her. Hilda leaves to cherish her memories to her loving and devoted husband, of 58 years, Paul R. Schuster of Alverton, whom she married Nov. 21, 1959.

Her Two Loving and devoted Daughters: Carol J. Emanuel and husband John of Scottdale Paula J. Hellen and husband Shawn of Lake Lynn, Pa. Her Three Grandchildren: John Paul Emanuel and Ashley of Scottdale Olivia Hellen of Lake Lynn Chelsea Hellen and Jackie of Morgantown, W.VA. Her Sister: Anna Mae Lind of Mt.

Pleasant And a number of Nieces and Nephews In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by: Brother: Roy J. Parfitt, Jr. (Jan. 2, 1955) Sisters: Sara Elizabeth Parfitt Kalp (July 12, 1994) and Beatrice Prucey Hilda’s family cordially invites family and friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Sunday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8PM. Additional visitation will be held Monday from 12PM until 2 PM at which time a Funeral Liturgy will be held with her Pastor, Rev.

Richard Kosisko, as facillator. Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery, Scottdale. A Parish Wake Service will be held for Hilda, Sunday at 3 PM in the Funeral Home.
