Devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister and friend of many, Holly Ellen Rivers, age 65, passed away in Longview, Texas on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Holly was born on May 11, 1953 in Bakersfield, California to Roy Dwayne and Verna Jerome Bamburg. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Holly is survived by her son, Jeremy Slade Arrington and his wife, Michelle; her daughter, Raven Rivers Lenz and her husband, Michael; her grandchildren, Jaleigh Mason Lenz and Logan Blade Lenz; her brothers, Michael Bamburg and Bruce Bamburg and his wife, Peggy; her sister, Robin Moore and her husband, Pat; her nephews and nieces, Chris Bamburg, Matt Ford, Mitchell Bamburg, Jennifer Martin and her husband, Mike and numerous other family members and friends. Holly liked to sew and loved her family, but her true passion in life was her granddaughter, Jaleigh, whom she adored. She had worked several years as a private investigator and had worked as a legal assistant for David Carlile, before retiring.

She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. Hers was a life well lived and she was well loved by all who knew her and were blessed by her friendship. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 6:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with Debbie Warbington Rogers officiating.

A time of visitation will be held immediately following the service. In honor of Holly’s love for children, the family has chosen Mission Marshall’s Read to Ride program for a donation in lieu of flowers. Donations are accepted on-line at www.
