Obituary for Ignacio “Mickey” Hernandez Ignacio “Mickey” Hernandez, age 72, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Palestine Regional Medical Center, located in Palestine, Texas. He was born on February 1, 1946 in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico. Preceding him in death were his parents: Maria de la luz Hernandez and Juan Tristan Hernandez; brothers: Juan Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, and Mario Hernandez.

Family members left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 51 years, Irma D. Hernandez of La Porte, Tx; children: Alicia Hernandez of Dickenson, Tx, Diamantina Porras and husband Rene of Seguin, Tx, Ignacio Hernandez, Jr. and Julie Loper of Pearland, Tx; brother, Isidro Hernandez of Del Rio; sisters: Graciela Morin of Del Rio, Rosalinda Hernandez of Del Rio, Estela Hernandez of La Porte, Guadalupe Marrujo of La Porte, and Elva Ramos of Del Rio; Ignacio is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A Chapel Service is also scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Trinity chapel of Devotion.
