Lois Isabelle Matthews Langston, 78, wife of the late Charles E. Langston, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Pee Dee Gardens in Florence Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the funeral home. Mrs. Langston was born on December 5, 1939 in Florence County, daughter of the late Leroy and Hannah Matthews.

She attended Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed working in flower garden. Surviving are her daughter, Charlene L. (Bert) Defee of Effingham; grandchildren, Christian Evans, Maggie Rose Evans, Brook (Neil) Floyd, Amber Defee and Lori Defee; great-grandchildren, Lyla Osborne, Addisen Defee, Jamison Webb, Luke Floyd, Samara Odom, Melody Legge and Eleanor Floyd; brother, Clifford (Lizzie) Matthews of Scranton; and sister, Harriett Russ of Florence. Mrs. Langston was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Matthews.
