Jack Durant McGee, 76, husband of Maria Wilkes McGee, died Monday, May 28, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence. Mr. McGee was born on May 30, 1941 in Florence County, son of the late Willie Joe McGee and Mavin Broach McGee. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He retired from Vulcraft as a welder and was a farmer. Jack was a happy-go-lucky man, loving husband, father, papa and brother. He loved being outdoors and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Maria Wilkes McGee of Scranton; children, Betty McGee, and Barry D. “Jack” (Lynn) McGee, both of Scranton; grandchildren, Shelbi Lynn McGee and Kyle Durant McGee; siblings, Dorothy Melton, Bernice Kitchings, both of Scranton and Vivian (Douglas “Buddy”) Lane of Gordon, GA. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church, Scranton. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church.
