Robert Wayne Gause, 72, husband of Barbara Gause, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Born in Coward, SC, he was the son of the late L.J. and Marjorie Gause. Mr. Gause worked as an Electronics Engineer for the Charleston Naval Shipyards for 25 years and retired from Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in Charleston where he and his wife lived for 39 years.

He was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Rohe and husband, Joseph, of Travelers Rest; one son, Stephen Gause and wife, Jessica, of Hanahan, SC; and two grandsons, Landon and Finn Gause. A visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Simpsonville United Methodist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Mt.

Hope Cemetery, Florence, SC. Memorials may be made to Simpsonville UMC, 215 SE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
