Obituary for Ivan Lee Lambson Ivan Lee Lambson, 71, of Stamford, Nebraska died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Harlan County Health Systems in Alma, Nebraska. A private family service will be held at a later date, the family is honoring Ivan’s wish for cremation. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Ivan Lee Lambson was born February 9, 1947 in Orleans, Nebraska to Clellen A. and Ethel N. (Rhoades) Lambson. He received his education from Orleans High School, graduating with the class of 1965. Ivan continued his education in Denver for a year of Tech School and another year with the United States Air Force.

Ivan was united in marriage to Diana Lynn Martin on December 9, 1968, and to this union two children were born: Marlis and Trevor. Ivan enlisted in the United States Air Force in November of 1966 and served his country as a Buck Sergeant and as a member of the Red Horse. He served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968, stationed in Da” nang, Vietnam.

He proudly served his country finishing his enlistment at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, until his honorable discharge in January of 1971. Ivan worked in the parts and services department at Tripe Motor Company for 21 years, and various other dealerships as a parts manager. Ivan enjoyed watching car races and football.

He had a special place in his heart for dogs and loved all animals. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford. Ivan leaves to celebrate his life, his two children: Marlis Lambson of Rio, Wisconsin, and Trevor Lambson of Stamford, Nebraska; honorary daughters: Anne Kolivanoff of France, and Christine P. of France; honorary grandchildren: Yeing Phommachan of Thailand, Paprika Gundtoft-Mose of Denmark, Emre Arli of Turkey, Kotoe Kawano of Japan, and Sina Grebe of Germany; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
