Jack E. Dills, 79, of Evansville, IN passed from this earth on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown. Jack was born January 25, 1940, in Evansville, IN. He was baptized into the Catholic Faith in 2005 and was a member of Sts.

Mary and John Parish. Jack was a past member of Teamsters Local #215 for 20 years and was a retired truck driver for Fiegel Construction Company. He was instrumental in launching Comaier Services Wheelchair Transportation.

As a self-taught musician, Jack played guitar in many local country bands including The Travelers, Country Strings, and the Sally Deig Band, for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing music for many local weddings, political rallies, and for nursing home residents. He also volunteered at the Potters Wheel Food Bank and The United Caring Shelter.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sandra Sue (Kincade) Dills; two daughters, Jackie Miller (Mark) and Kathi Goen (Pat), both of Evansville; 5 grandchildren, Zach (Meagan), Greg (Vanessa) and Joe (Kaci) Miller, Kaitlin (Chris) Clayton, Kameron (Chloe) McCoy; 11 great grandchildren; 2 half-sisters, Mae Brackett and Clara Sue Pitcher; and half-brother, LeRoy Kipp. He was preceded in death by a host of friends who are awaiting his arrival and his Fur Baby “Tater”. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Deacon Dennis Russell officiating.

Burial will be private. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL. Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Jack to a charity of your choice.

Jack would want everyone to remember his favorite Fr. Benny blessing: “Smile, Jesus loves You!
