The son of Johnny Thomas Shepard and Flossie Annabelle (Mahurin) Shepard, he was born July 21, 1932, in St. Louis, Oklahoma. Jack worked for many years as a truck driver and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Oklahoma City.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jack married Regina Diane Klett on December 23, 2000, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Jack spent most of his time working and was dedicated to providing for his family.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching the news. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Patricia Parker; two sons, Daniel Shepard and Jack Shepard, Jr.; a grandson, Chance Shepard; a great grandson, Derek Holmes; one brother, Orville Shepard; and five sisters, Lillie May Clary, Loradine Hammock, Betty Brooks, Mary Shepard, and Ruth Brown. Jack is survived by his wife, Regina Shepard of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Jackie Rhine of Decatur, Texas, and Luanda Thompson of Oklahoma City; two sons, Larry Shepard and his wife, Chris, of Broken Arrow, and Jack Shepard, III of Oklahoma City; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
