Obituary for Jack Roberson Jack Roberson entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born on October 2, 1931 in Denhawken, Texas to Thomas Edmund “Ed” Roberson and Virginia Ester “Virgie” (Hawk) Roberson. Jack honorably served his country in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is also a proud member of the American Legion and VFW. He is a member of the AF&AM, Kenedy Lodge #774, where he has served as a Past Master and received his 50 year Membership Award. Jack served two terms as the Mayor of Runge, Texas for 8 years, and is a past Constable of Karnes County.
Two of his favorite teams were the University of Texas Longhorns and the St. Louis Cardinals. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Caleb Roberson; sister, Mae Beth Taylor; and brother, Robert Bailey Roberson. Jack is survived by his children, Laquita Mechler (David), Kathy Carr (Billy), Mike Stulting (Mary), David Roberson (Marti), and Carolyn Hernandez (Shorty); grandchildren, Brian Hill (Bethany), DeShanna Rider (Jason), Kelsey Reynolds (Clayton), Elizabeth Stulting, Matthew Stulting, Mason Roberson, and Tyler Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Alayah, Brian, Dylan, Alanna, Payton, Kylee, Tristyn, and Emmerson; sisters, Marie Koch and Nan Ray (Bob).
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Finch Funeral Chapel- Stockdale. Funeral Service Saturday, July 7, 2018 10:00 am First Baptist Church Stockdale, Texas Interment will follow at Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale. Pastor Scott Jones will officiate the service.
