Obituary for Jacqueline A. Loucks Jacqueline A. Loucks, 91, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Willow Wick Assisted Living. She was born January 24, 1927 in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Thieren and Gwendolyn (Sweeney) Miller. Jackie’s father was tragically killed in a plane crash in Janesville, WI, when she was 3 1/2.

The Great Depression was looming and her mother was forced to seek work in Chicago and leave Jackie and her brother with their grandparents. When they could no longer care for their grandchildren they went into boarding schools. We believe this was the beginning of our mother’s unbreakable faith.

Jackie graduated from Janesville High School and attended Milton College before her marriage to Gene Loucks on September 4, 1948. They moved to Beloit, WI, in 1950. Jackie retired from GM/Chevrolet accounting department in 1951 the year their first of eight children were born.

She was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a promoter of parochial education. Jackie served on the parish council, Brother Dutton School board, was a member of the Marian guild and a religious ed teacher. She was a past president of the Beloit Jr. Women’s Club.

She was later employed by the School District of Beloit as a teacher’s aide for children with developmental disabilities at the Olympian Center in Beloit. Her main interest and joy was her family. Survivors include her children, Charlie (Sharon) Loucks of Beloit, WI, Vicki Loucks of Beloit, WI, Vonni (Dan) Ley of Menasha, WI, Veronica (Steve) Adams, Martha Tatge, Jennifer Schindler all of Beloit, WI; and Katy (Jim) Lamberty of Cross Plains, WI; beloved grandchildren, Aaron (Michelle) Adams, Andrea (Bill) Neumueller, Alyssa Tatge, Alana Tatge, Sarah (Michael) Yu, Mark Adams, Leea (Brad) Drescher, David (Kari) Ley, Rachel (Frank) Gretzinger, and Amanda (Jason) Hurley; 12 great-grandchildren with one due in November; one great-great grandson; brother, Jerry (Ginny) Mills of Janesville, WI; sister, Mary (Dr. Ken) Noller of Shrewsbury, MA; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, step father William Mills, husband Eugene Loucks, infant daughter and son-in-law, Robert Schindler. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Jackie will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI. Visitation of remembrance will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. Jackie donated her body to the Donor Program at the University of Wisconsin Madison. The family would like to thank Willowick of Beloit for the care of their mother in her final days.

Thank you to Beloit Regional Hospice for their attention given by getting to know our mother on a personal level. A special thank you to Kara, Jeri, and Beth, we could not have done this journey without your skilled level care, compassion and attention to our beautiful mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to St. Jude Catholic Church or Beloit Regional Hospice.
