Obituary for Mary E. Normington Mary E. Normington, 88, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. She was born January 3, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alva Urius and Lena (Gullo) Divan. On June 23, 1951 Mary wed Frank Noll Normington in St. Thomas Catholic Church.

He predeceased her on July 8, 2011. Mary and her husband became the owners of Normington Dry Cleaners LLC in 1967 and operated the cleaners until their retirement in 2001. Mary wore many hats not only did she manage the cleaners but had the time to sell real estate first at Century 21 and later for the Kevin Kerwin Agency.

As an active member of the Beloit Community, Mary volunteered for the Beloit Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and could often be found helping at Helpful Hannah’s. She was a member of Phoenix Chapter #215 OES, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), American Legion Auxiliary West-Field Post #48 and the Beloit Historical Society. Mary was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister, singing with the choir and a contributing member of the Altar Society.

She was a former Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, an avid bowler and sometimes a first mate while sailing with her husband Frank on the Y KNOT. Survivors include her two sons, Joseph (Barb) Normington and Robert Normington both of Beloit, WI; four grandchildren, Amy (Lee) Friederick of Winneconne, WI, Robert Webb, Michelle Normington Nash, and Anne Normington; and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, step mother Melba, sisters, Carolyn Terranova and Cynthia Steinert, granddaughters, Stacy Boyle Normington and Izzy Webb, and great granddaughter, Alexis.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 in the St. Thomas Catholic Church, 824 E. Grand Ave. , Beloit, WI with Fr. John Hedrick officiating.

Entombment and a service conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star Phoenix Chapter #215 will be held at Mt. Thabor Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday in the church.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial will be established in her name at a later date. Upcoming Events Visitation 2018 JUL 9.
