Obituary for Joseph F. Marino Joseph F. “Joe” Marino, 88, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Pioneer Court. He was a lifelong resident of Beloit, WI, born on August 18, 1930 the son of Tony and Frances (Barbera) Marino. Joe graduated from Beloit High School in 1949.

He played in the winning 1948-49 Big Eight Championship Football Team. Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1951-54. Stationed in Germany, he played football for the 28th Division Special Troops Team.

He married Janet Carpenter Mork on September 13, 1971. Joe was employed as an insurance agent for 28 years. He loved football and was a Green Bay Packer fan.

Survivors include his wife, Jan; children, Mickey (Julie) Marino, Dave Marino, Nancy (Matt O’Rorke) Lungstrom, and Lori (Rock) Lance; stepchildren, Jeff Mork and Kim Mork; grandchildren, Joshua Mork, Jessie and Danny Lungstrum, Dustin and Jonathon (Lauren) Marino, Sarah (Jarrod) Norval, Zack (Celeste) Marino, Amanda (Kyle) Schilter, and Jacob Bronowski; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Tartagilia; sister-in-law, Sandy Lynch; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Josephine Pearsall, Lucia Di Orio and Jennie Castronovo, brother-in-law Denny Cofoid. Funeral services for Joe will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Steve Erkel officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. Upcoming Events Visitation , OCT 2.
