James A. Picker 79 of Columbiana died Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born July 6, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Alice (Holmes) Picker. James worked as a child advocate for Summit County Juvenile Court.

Upon retiring he enjoyed hiking through Kent and attending auctions several times per week. Survivors include his niece Jennifer L. R. (Roger Herrington) Saddler, nephew Brian P. Saddler and great niece Kaelynn S. Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judith A. Saddler.

Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
