He was born on February 8, 1940 in Dalton, GA, son of the late Arthur and Gene (Spann) Bagley. James is preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Bagley and is survived by his wife, Mary Bagley, daughters, Amanda McCurry and Jamie Bagley; grandchildren, Owen Korteweg and Jaxsun McCurry.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 801 E. Harrison, Harlingen, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W.Hidalgo Ave. , Raymondville, Texas.
