James “Junior” Calvin Norman, 52, of Patterson Farm Road, Mooresville, NC, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019, at his residence. He was born May 4, 1966 in Iredell County to the late James Thomas Norman and the late Clara Mae Miller Norman. Junior was educated in the Iredell County School System and was a 1985 graduate of Mooresville Senior High School.

He was formerly employed Performance Fibers and attended New Life Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, February 5, at New Life Baptist Church, 1281 Biscayne Dr., Concord, NC. Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Norman Glaspy. Those left to cherish fond memories include his daughter, Cherish Norman of Harrisburg, NC; two sons, Derek Boyd of Hickory, NC and Daaron Presnell of Concord; four grandchildren, Jaiden Harrison, Kaydance Boyd, Jacson Norman and Derek Boyd; one sister, Sharon Gray (Ronald) of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Arthur Norman of Mooresville, NC; special nephew, Ricky Gray, Jr. of Mooresville; special friend, Sherri Robinson of Kannapolis; special children, De’Terrio Robinson and Aubriel Robinson; three aunts, Mary Catherine Rice, Agnes Gamble and Vickie Stewart; three special aunts, Laura Stewart, Ophelia Stewart and Shirley Patterson; god-parents, Connie & Virginia Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
