Mr. James M. Franklin, age 70, of 363 Summit Road, Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Franklin was born on May 10, 1948, in Danville, VA, to the late James Luther Franklin and Helen Worley Franklin. Before his retirement, Mr. Franklin worked as a machine operator for Dan Chem and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his sister, Lynda Beach, of Danville, VA; nephews, Terry Keatts, of Danville, VA, Michael Keatts; and nieces, Theresa Meyers, of the residence; Dawn Wilkes and Victoria Angle. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Danville National Cemetery located at 721 Lee Street in Danville, VA with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating.
