Obituary for William Anderson Pyrant William Anderson Pyrant, 94, of 215 Foster Road, Yanceyville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Alamance Caswell Hospice House of Burlington, NC, after a decline in health for the past eleven months. Mr. Pyrant was born on August 22, 1924, in Caswell County, NC, a son of the late George Andrew Pyrant and Emma Mae Anderson. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and was a faithful member as long as his health permitted.

Mr. Pyrant spent his life in Caswell County. He retired after fifty years of service from the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in Caswell County. Mr. Pyrant measured tobacco acreage when you had to walk to do this.

Also he farmed raising tobacco and livestock. Mr. Pyrant was married to the late Mary Catherine Wall Pyrant who died in 2006. Mr. Pyrant is survived by one daughter, Marlene P. Watlington and husband Russell; one sister, Georgia Pyrant Shambley, of Burlington, NC; four grandchildren, Jason Watlington (Heather), Paul Watlington (Lori), Pat Mise (Kent), and Tonya Hughes (Mike); nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Mr. Pyrant was predeceased by one step-daughter, Judy Satterfield White; one brother, George Andrew Pyrant, Jr.; and two sisters, Louise P. Terrell and Lelia P. Hamlett. Graveside service for Mr. Pyrant will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2018, at Prospect United Methodist Church, 1900 US Hwy 158 West, Yanceyville, NC, by the Reverend Sang Park. The family will receive friends afterwards in the Church Fellowship Hall.

At other times, the family will be at the residence of his daughter, Marlene and Russell Watlington, 934 Hatchett Road, Yanceyville, NC, 27379. Memorial donations may be made to Alamance-Caswell Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC, 27215. Wrenn-Yeatts Yanceyville Chapel is respectfully serving the Pyrant family.
