Obituary for Allison Edwards Durham Allison Edwards Durham, 52, of 3990 Strawberry Road, Chatham, VA went home to be with Lord suddenly on November 12, 2018. Allison was born on October 11, 1966 in the former Halifax Community Hospital in South Boston, VA, a daughter to Nancy Tucker Edwards and the late Ray Bennett Edwards. She lived most of her life in Pittsylvania County.

Allison was a graduate of the Hargrave Military Academy, Class of 1984. She was one of the first group of employees hired by the Nestle Corporation of Danville where she worked for over 27 years. Allison was presently working for Columbia Forest in Chatham, VA, serving as acting supervisor.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she attended the Circle of Friends group when possible. She was attending classes offered by Columbia Forest to become an Emergency Medical Technician.

On May 17, 1997, Allison married Gary Thomas Durham, who survives of the residence. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy Tucker Edwards of Danville, three sons, William Ray Durham, Noah Edwards Durham, Garrett Wesley Durham (Sarah Scearce), one daughter, Anya Sheree Walker (Jacob), one sister, Holly E. Bailess (Christopher) of Gretna, VA, two grandchildren, Alyssa Walker, Thor Walker and one special nephew who she thought of as her own, Tucker Bailess. Allison was predeceased by her father.

Funeral Services for Allison will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrews United Methodist Church at Gretna, VA, by Pastor Jimmy Calhoun. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel and at other times be at the residence, 3990 Strawberry Road, Chatham, VA 24541.
