Obituary for Mildred Chester Selph Mildred Chester Selph, 84, of Ringgold, VA departed this life on Monday, November 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Mrs. Selph was born on October 31, 1934. Mrs. Selph retired from the Virginia Department of Health, and was of the Baptist faith.

On July 11, 1958 she married, William Henry Selph, who died on June 23, 2014. Survivors include two granddaughters, Cassandra Shelton, of the residence who was her primary caregiver, and Candice Shelton, of Florida. In addition to her husband, a daughter, Cheryl S. Shelton, and a son, Bobby Jordan, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM from the graveside at Laurel Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Rodney Barwick.
