Obituary for Fraser Ward Gore Fraser Ward Gore, 83, of Danville, VA, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC, after a decline in health for the past year. Mr. Gore was born in New Orleans, LA, on February 11, 1935, a son of the late Calvin Ward Gore and the late Julia Gore Hurst. He lived part of his life in Augusta, GA, before moving to Danville in 1967.

He worked for Southern Processors, Inc. for twenty-five years. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a faithful member of North Main Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, and visitation team member.

In his spare time, he enjoyed making hunting knives, gardening, and playing volleyball. On July 20, 1956, he married the love of his life, Cecelia Miller Gore, who survives of the residence. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Celine Harris and husband Bruce; a son, Mark Gore and wife Cathy; six grandchildren, Cori Sowers, Bobby Evans, III.

, Alex DeAndrea, Wendy Rigney, Christine Thompson, and Alan DeAndrea; and three great grandchildren, Makenzie Harris, Kailynn DeAndrea, and Joshua Rigney. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Nathan Harris; a great grandson, Nathan DeAndrea; and a brother, Calvin T. Gore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Fred Unger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to North Main Baptist Church, 2818 N. Main St., Danville, VA, 24540. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Gore family.
