Obituary for Charlotte Lewis Alderson Alderson Charlotte Lewis Alderson Alderson, 84, of 1273 Doctor Milams Rd. , Sutherlin, VA, died on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her residence after a decline in health for the past year. Mrs. Alderson was born in Halifax County, VA on December 8, 1933, a daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Alderson and the late Rebecca Owen Lewis Alderson.

She spent all of her life in the Sutherlin Community where she was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church where she was the Head of the Benevolent Committee. She was very active in her community where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Laurel Grove Fire Department and was the Head of the Social Committee for the Laurel Grove Community Center.

She was married to James Budge Alderson, Sr., who died on September 22, 2017. She is survived by four children, Rebecca Yeaman (Ralph), Debra Alderson, Jimmy Alderson (Tammy), and David Alderson; a grandson, Jared Yeaman; and a sister, Frances A. Ankofski. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Laurel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev.

Carl E. Burger officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemtery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
