Obituary for James N. Morrock Utica/Liverpool – James “Jim” Morrock, 94, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. Jim was born on May 9, 1924 in Earlville, NY, the son of John and Irene (Grizzi) Morrock. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran serving during WWII.

On August 19, 1950, Jim married Blanche Dousharm in St. Patrick’s Church, a blessed union of 53 years prior to her death on September 4, 2003. He was last employed with the Utica Public Library prior to retiring. Jim’s family was paramount to him.

He loved to barbeque and gather with friends and family at his camp at Sylvan Beach for over 40 years. Jim lived life to the fullest into his 90s, taking exercise classes and learning to use a computer at the Parkway Senior Center. His garden was his pride and joy.

Jim could always be found on his side porch at his home in Utica. When he moved to Liverpool to be with his family, as long as his recliner came with him, he considered it home. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Kathleen Morrock; daughter, Laurie Camilleri; grandchildren, John Robinson (Nichole Fatcheric), Brian (Bridget) Morrock, Jennifer Robinson, Elizabeth Morrock (Roberta Ryan) and Jacqueline (Richard) Nuzzo; great grandchildren, James Gaffney, Trevor Gaffney, Sydney Morrock, Olivia Bartlett, Haylee Robinson, Kaiden Morrock, Dominick Nuzzo, Liam Morrock, Lucas Morrock, Lily Robinson and Zoey Nuzzo and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd. , Utica. Funeral services will commence following visitation at 12:15 p.m. from the funeral home and 1 p.m. from St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Jim’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www. woundedwarriorproject.org).
