Obituary for James W. Gunn IV James Wiley Gunn IV, 89, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the Red Wing Health Care Community. He was born on October 2, 1928, in Aurora, Colorado to James and Abbie (Carroll) Gunn III. He graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School in Englewood, Colorado.

On October 19, 1950, he married Shirley Lowry and to this union Ron, Chris and Jeanne were born. They later divorced. Over the years he worked as a draftsman/engineer for Texaco.

On June 25, 1961, he married Betty Fessler and she preceded him in death on March 31, 1983. On February 16, 1985, he was united in marriage to Kathy Eley. They lived in the Denver, Colo.

area, Janesville, Wis. , and Red Wing. Kathy died on September 15, 2014.

He loved to travel, was a great photographer, enjoyed building model cars and airplanes and was fascinated with planes and flying. He is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Meadows and one son, Chris (Jann) Gunn; his grandchildren, Mieka Pisty, Kevin (Marni) Gunn, Michelle (Eric) Muscarella, Ryan (Tonia) Gunn, Shaina (Joey) Borejas, Patricia (Walter John) Ligman, Marianne (Hunter) Mauracooper, Christopher (Jim), Nik (Nicole), Jonathan (Dena) and Heather (Bryce) Pease; 24 great grandchildren and four step children, Jeff (Mary) LeBaron, Steve (Janet) LeBaron, Pamela (Jerry) Davis and Wanda (David) Wilson and nine step grandchildren, Sherry, David, Shyla, Ryan, Corey, Tara, Lance, Kayla and Becky. Besides his wives, he is preceded in death by one son, Ron and one step granddaughter, Heather.
